Everyone Abandoned the Paralyzed Korean Billionaire on His Birthday Until a Single Mother Walked In With a Crushed Cupcake

Part 2: “Not yet.”

“Where are we going?”

She hesitated only once. “To a birthday party.”

Now, standing in the doorway of the most expensive room she had ever seen, Marissa wondered whether courage and foolishness were the same thing wearing different shoes.

Joon Park’s voice cut through the silence.

“This floor is closed.”

His tone was calm, but it carried the warning of a locked gate.

Marissa tightened her hand on Caleb’s shoulder. “Yes, sir. I know.”

“Then why are you here?”

Caleb looked up at his mother. She looked down at him, then back at Joon.

“Because nobody should have to sit alone on their birthday.”

Joon’s face did not change.

But something in the room did.

For several seconds, Joon said nothing.

He had negotiated with men who smiled while planning murder. He had sat across from bankers hiding fraud behind silk ties. He had faced federal investigators, family traitors, and rival bosses who mistook his wheelchair for weakness.

But he did not know what to do with a cleaning woman who looked him in the eye and offered him compassion like it was the most ordinary thing in the world.
