The note was only four lines long, but it destroyed everything Sebastian Harrow had spent forty-one years building.

Part 2: “Evidence,” Claire said. “Real evidence. I need to know whether my husband is having an affair, how long it has been happening, and whether company resources are involved. I need it documented cleanly.”

Griffin nodded once.

No pity. No shock.

“I’ll begin tomorrow.”

The next three weeks taught Claire that silence could be a weapon, but it could also be shelter.

Every night, she sat across from Sebastian at dinner. She asked about his day. She watched him answer. She watched his hand drift toward his phone when it buzzed. She watched him smile at the screen and then erase the smile before looking up at her.

She did not rage.

She did not weep.

She filed.

Griffin reported in pieces.
